Teen Residential Treatment Centers

Residential treatment centers (RTC) are for adolescents who have engaged in unsafe behaviors. These troubled teens generally require a complete evaluation, diagnosis and treatmentAdolescent Residential Treatment centers are the most clinically sophisticated in the spectrum of youth programs. The adolescent's treatment is individually planned and monitored and intensive individual and family therapy is a standard protocol. More specialized and targeted issues are addressed. Residential Treatment Facilities are usually locked to keep the child safe. Admissions are rolling and the length of stay, while flexible, is on average from four to nine months. In general, the adolescent's academic and emotional condition is not a barrier to entry.

"We had such a wonderful visit with our son, and noticed some positive changes in him as we all talked about the future and coming home.  For the past two weeks, he  has been actively participating in family therapy, and yesterday shared that he now wanted to go home (as opposed to a few months ago, when he said that he never wanted to go home again).
